The Animal People Recruitment Company Showcases Specialist Recruitment Approach at BVA Live 2026
The Animal People Recruitment Company to Exhibit at BVA Live 2026
The Animal People Recruitment Company has announced it will be exhibiting at this year’s BVA Live on 11th and 12th June 2026 at the NEC Birmingham, as the specialist recruitment business continues its expansion across the pet, veterinary and animal health sectors.
Founded by Chris Whatling and Sarah Grace, The Animal People Recruitment Company has built a strong reputation within the pet, veterinary and animal health industries for its consultative and people-first approach to recruitment, supporting businesses across commercial, technical and leadership hiring.
Over the last few years, the company has worked with a wide range of organisations across veterinary pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, nutrition, insurance, pet retail, technology and animal health services, while also building an extensive international network of candidates and industry professionals.
Speaking ahead of the event, Founder Chris Whatling said:
“BVA Live is always an important event for our industry because it brings people together properly. For us, this isn’t just about exhibiting it’s about reconnecting with businesses, meeting new people, listening to the challenges companies are facing and having honest conversations about hiring, retention and the future of talent within the veterinary sector.
The market has changed significantly over the last few years and businesses are increasingly recognising that recruitment is not simply about filling vacancies anymore. Candidate experience, employer brand, culture and long-term retention all play a huge role in attracting the right people.”
The team will be attending the exhibition across both days to meet with businesses operating across the pet and animal health sectors, candidates and industry professionals, whilst also showcasing the company’s unique approach to recruitment. This includes its use of state-of-the-art recruitment technology, specialist industry network and consultative way of working that goes far beyond simply filling vacancies.
The Animal People Recruitment Company works closely with clients on everything from employer brand and EVP through to candidate experience, recruitment process improvement, interview training, salary benchmarking and long-term hiring strategy. By combining genuine market insight with a highly personal and relationship-led approach, the business has built a reputation for helping companies attract and retain the right people whilst strengthening their reputation at the same time.
Alongside the company’s recruitment work, Managing Director & Co-Founder Chris Whatling is also an ambassador for Birmingham Dog’s Home, with The Animal People Recruitment Company proudly supporting the charity as Platinum Patrons. The business makes a donation to the charity every time it places a candidate into a new role with one of its clients.
Chris and the team will also be available throughout BVA Live to speak to visitors about the work of the charity, how businesses across the industry can help support dogs in need, and how organisations can become more involved in giving back to the wider animal welfare community.
The company will also be discussing its continued growth internationally following increased activity across the USA market after attending major industry events including Global Pet Expo and SuperZoo.
Visitors attending BVA Live are encouraged to stop by and meet the team to discuss current hiring challenges, industry trends and opportunities across the pet and animal health sectors.
