Momentum builds for the new Vet Show in Birmingham

Unique features finalised as the profession preps to gather at the NEC

CloserStill Media, organisers of BVA Live, have today announced the full event line-up is now available. The major gathering, which ran for the first time in 2022 features a conference, exhibition, and networking events. More than 1500 veterinary professionals are set to descend on the NEC Birmingham for two days of CPD, networking and sourcing on 11-12 May.

As well as clinical theatres, non-clinical streams, debates, pop-up discussions and the exhibition – details on the Wet Labs and highly-anticipated Vet Show Spring Social have been posted on the event’s website.

Speaking on behalf of the conference, Charlotte Ellicott, Head of Content and Marketing, CloserStill Media said, “BVA Live is truly a one of a kind CPD event with a unique, laid-back atmosphere. We’ve streamlined the programme in 2023 to make sure the choices of lectures, social events and hands-on learning is of exceptional quality but the experience for attendees is incredibly smooth. Our aim is for vet professionals to walk away from BVA Live with new skills, useful connections and a refreshed sense of purpose in practice. Every element of the show supports this goal.”

The clinical programme brings together speakers from all over the country and cover a range of topics including ophthalmology, parasitology, feline medicine, dermatology and cardiology and many more. The organisers say they are focusing on small animal practice for now with hopes to expand in the future.

Ellicott continued, “We know that CPD events are about more than just what happens in the theatres, which is why we are so excited to bring out our famous Happy Hour and Vet Show Spring Social. In 2022, this was hailed as one of the best night’s of the veterinary year (and it’s free to attend for delegates!). We are also delighted to have the BVNA once again on board to host dedicated content for veterinary nurses. And the sessions taking place in the BVA Interactive Zone and Exhibitor Showcase theatres are set to be thought-provoking.”

Discussing why delegates should attend BVA Live this year, Ellicott said, “We also have a focus on learning by participation at BVA Live. We know the best way to learn is by getting involved so do bring along questions and get ready to roll up your sleeves. I’m delighted to welcome back CPD who will host 90-minute Wet Labs. We’ve run these at both BVA Live 2022 and London Vet Show last year, and both times we sold out. So, we feel we now have the perfected the format.”

“I’d like to remind the profession that places are limited at BVA Live and so jump on the website and check out what 2023 has in store, then book early to avoid disappointment!”.

Veterinary professionals looking to attend BVA Live should book their tickets before the pricing deadline of 31st March. The current rate is £189+VAT, and £160+VAT for BVA members.
